A major tyre retailer in Europe, faced the challenge of refreshing its corporate network to provide the connectivity and reliability required for its day-to-day operations.
The current equipment was nearing its end-of-life, and a seamless transition was needed across the UK and Eastern Europe, comprising over 400 sites, to ensure that its network provided optimal connectivity and reliability for communication, stock and trading systems.
NSC’S SOLUTION
NSC collaborated with BT to provide a comprehensive solution that included storage, staging, delivery, and installation of new equipment within a one-year timeline.
NSC’s team of experts worked closely with the customer and BT to ensure a seamless transition to the new solution, conducting Wi-Fi site surveys to address potential challenges in advance of implementation.
NSC’s state-of-the-art storage and staging centres across Europe stored and tested the networking equipment from Meraki, ensuring that it was configured and ready for installation.
The installation process was scheduled out of hours, with 15 sites targeted each week to minimise disruption.
RESULTS
Nearing the halfway point of the year-long project, NSC has exceeded customer expectations, providing improved reliability, functionality, and connectivity to their network with minimal failure rate and no impact on day-to-day operations.
The new networking solution is already providing improved reliability, functionality and connectivity whilst meeting the end-of-life criteria and future-proofing the network for years to come.
